Hi, I'd like to add the standard 'After Entry' widget to the end of pages and also the homepage above the footer. Currently it is set up to only appear on single entries (which is just posts I think?).

Is this possible, or should I create a new widget area?

    Thank you.

P.S. I'm in maintenance mode but will switch it off if you need to see my site.

Pages aren't designed to display widgets other than in the sidebar. If you want to add the after-entry widget to a page, you have to create a page-template that displays it. For the front page, you have to edit front-page,php to add it.
