StudioPress Pro Plus Package
"This package is just a one-time payment and you get unlimited updates, themes and support for life plus every 3rd party theme they release in their marketplace. The cost pays for itself over time."

Have you requested your free website audit yet?July 13, 2021 at 3:03 pm #504327andytcParticipantSo studiopress has reneged on the pro plus package deal. We aren’t getting ‘every 3rd party theme they release’
July 15, 2021 at 5:40 pm #504337btwebmediaParticipantAndy that is exactly what seems like is going on. The new "Uprising" template looks good, but not available in my downloads as a pro plus user. I know companies grow and evolve, but this doesn't seem right. I'll move on to an already existing Studio Press theme since the new themes are really available.
July 16, 2021 at 4:03 am #504338birdonawire55ParticipantWELL, the plugins are free for us.. but dang.. What was a perk of using Genesis for development, has now become a reason to move on. I have countless clients using Genesis, the deal they made us for 'life" I guess was theirs not ours.. and even though we made genesis the most popular framework, its now beyond our reach. Thanks WP Engine.. there are personal reasons I won't host there, and now ,,,, personal reasons I won't use the framework anymore. Sad that 'big' business buys out the little guys and s shakes up everyone else's world. ---RANT OVer.. but bye bye Genesis.
July 16, 2021 at 6:17 am #504339andytcParticipantYes , I feel the same. Genesis isn’t doing it for me anymore, I’d rather spend some time moving all my clients themes away from the Genesis framework so I don’t have to suffer any more updates. Loads of themes have been ‘Archived’ , meaning finished and new ones not available as promised when the package was purchased.
TBH it gets it the way rather than be useful these days anyway.July 20, 2021 at 11:42 am #504342waldo.moreiraParticipantMy definition of "for life" must differ from theirs. The time to move on has arrived.
July 22, 2021 at 5:17 pm #504346AnitaCKeymasterThe Pro Pack of themes was discontinued early last year. Those who had the package at the time would continue to receive new themes (when and if they were created). You still have access to all of the themes in the Pro Pack. As noted in the blog post - https://studiopress.blog/studiopress-big-changes/, there are ten themes that are in the active area of your accounts which have been/will be updated. All other themes have been archived (including third party) and you still have access to those themes.
They eliminated the sale of third party themes. If you are a Pro Pack member you can reach out to the third party to get updates (from what I've heard). You do not have to buy them all over again.
StudioPress themes will no longer be sold on a per theme basis through the site but will be available on WPEngine.
Lifetime I would assume meant "lifetime" for the support, not that the product would continue throughout your lifetime. With all things... change is necessary and that happens in our lives on a daily basis.
But they are working on Full Site Editing and new products for that which is the way of the future per WordPress. So some things needed to be archived and retired in order to do that.
Every business goes through some sort of evolution - even our own individual businesses. You have to in order to grow and compete with the competition. If not, your business will die.
*Just my personal opinion*

July 23, 2021 at 9:01 am #504350andytcParticipantNo , it didn’t mean lifetime support , it meant access to all future themes as well. It wasn’t cheap either.
“ you get unlimited updates, themes and support for life plus every 3rd party theme they release in their marketplace”
July 23, 2021 at 6:23 pm #504352Funky GrafixParticipantAgreed with Andytc and is why we signed up to it. WP Engine are just plain greedy, you can see this plainly with their hosting offering pricing. Not only do they generate fat profits for themselves, but write to us weekly to become one of their re-sellers and pay us also.
No thanks, we've already switched to using Oxygen for all of our WP work and host with a niche hosting firm, giving us pure cloud 100% (sla) uptime, with hourly back-ups.
Goodbye Genesis + WP Engine!
October 2, 2021 at 1:16 pm #504510dwd282ParticipantPurchased a "lifetime" access... But now 90% of the themes are 3rd party themes that you must purchase. I feel ripped off to honest.
October 2, 2021 at 1:20 pm #504511dwd282ParticipantNope, it clearly stated that we would get access to any new theme, not just support. And yes, any business needs change to grow. I doesn't mean they should break their contract and words to do so.
November 29, 2021 at 7:25 am #504605Rebecca HansonParticipantLots of topics have been documented , which means got done and new ones not accessible as guaranteed when the package was bought.
custom printed 60ml bottle boxesNovember 30, 2021 at 2:28 am #504606captainpatParticipantI am disappointed also. I only spent a few hundred dollars with them - guess I am not their target any longer.
