I'm interested in creating a forum that has similar layout and functionality to the http://www.quicksprout.com/forum/
I believe this webmaster used bbpess with buddypress combination, is that best used in the Genesis framework? I am a little undecided because StudioPress is using VBulletin for their own forums.

Any suggestions? Plugins that connect bbpress, buddypress and Genesis together?

This Community Forum is on bbPress which works well with Buddypress and Genesis. If you are looking at the aesthetics then you'd just customize the bbPress CSS.

Thanks for the info! What's the reason someone would use BuddyPress for? Does this forum or the quicksprout forum use BuddyPress too?
