    I would like a jpeg that I load into a post to pop up larger when it is clicked instead of loading to a separate page which is how it does it by default.

    Is there a plugin for this, is it a lightbox thing?

    Thanks, yes I am aware of that plugin but what if I am just working with images that are imbed directly in the post, not a gallery?

    I've used several different ones but you might try this colorbox plugin.
