What is the best way to remove a page title (H1)

Hello,

I have the eleven40 pro theme and also Yoast within my site. I'm just starting out and need some guidance. Here is my problem. How can I remove the title from the body of the page? I would like this to be removed from posts as well.

Just under the breadcrumbs the title appears but I do not want it to be there every time I start a page/post.

I was told that it would be as simple as putting <h1 style="display:none;"><?php the_title(); ?></h1> however with a Genesis theme it is different.

Can anyone help?

Well, if you want EASY, you could try this:

put this in your css file:

h1.entry-title { display:none;}

I am not sure though what google thinks about having your h1 tag either removed or hidden via display:none;

Search engines place significant value on the h1 tag when ranking pages, so removing it or hiding it might negatively affect your rankings in google and other search engines.

A much better way would be to reposition the title using hooks.
