Do any of you know what would be causing the following problem?

After using W3 Cache for a while, I decided to update a couple plugins. I'm not sure if the problem started when I updated W3 Cache or something else.

After the update, I noticed that whenever I click on any category, that I would be redirected to a 404 page. My social media icons all looked wonky from the home page. In addition, the line spacing on my Premise landing page in the header scrunches the words together (https://www.disabledveterans.org/free-disability-compensation-guide/).

These issues are only present when I am NOT logged into the admin of the website.

When I login to add posts or whatever, all of the "problems" go away and the site looks normal. So, it seems like the issue has something to do with permissions. I read somewhere that W3 Cache can sometimes not reset and will cause problems like this when you update it.

Does anyone know the fix? Maybe use Super Cache plugin instead?

I always recommend WP Super Cache over W3TC because of the kind of issues you're describing. W3TC conflicts with a LOT of plugins and it's hard to know whether the configuration is off or if something else is wrong.

If you decide to try Super Cache, be sure you follow the (ridiculously long) instructions for removing W3TC properly or it will continue to mess up the site even after it's deleted: http://www.shoutmeloud.com/how-to-delete-uninstall-w3-total-cache-wordpress-plugin.html

Also, try going to Settings > Permalinks and clicking the Save button. Sometimes that will get rid of 404s.
