I am having the hardest time getting a visual editor for posts and replies in my bbpress forum. I tried the "bbPress Enable TinyMCE Visual Tab" plugin and it worked for a second. I had buttons and then I clicked on the text tab and it wouldn't let me back. Tried many other plugins and can't get them. I am wondering if it is an issue with Genesis that is causing a conflict. I am also using the stock W3 Total Cache that came with my Synthesis-Genesis install. I hear there is minify issues that cause the problem but I deactivated W3 and still had issues.

    Any suggestions??

Looks like it could be an intentional bbPress design - see here:

I have tried that code and it doesn't help. I can't get any buttons. I see a visual tab and a text tab, but no buttons and I can't even click on visual tab. I would be happy with even the basic buttons like is on this forum.

Have you investigated plugin conflicts already? And tried it with a default WP theme instead of Genesis?

I have disabled pretty much all plugins with no help. I have not tried another theme yet as I don't want to mess up rest of site. I guess I have no choice and will go to a stock theme and see what happens.

Then it's not a Genesis thing. I suggest trying the bbpress forum if you haven't already.

I have a few posts going on bbpress. They don't help much over there. Genesis is the only common I see. But I would assume its not it. I do have the Genesis bbpress extension installed.

I tried a different forum all together and its not a bbpress issue. I get the same problem with WP Bulletin Board. So I have an issue with the site, theme or something.

These things are frustrating but at least you're narrowing it down!

I found it. But its not good. I have NextGen gallery and its causing the buttons to fail somehow.
