Is it a valid scenario to use Dynamik Website Builder:

If I import one of the Studio Press child themes using Dynamik Design / import/export
And then use use the features of DWB to customize the theme?

Will that work or am I missing something?

When I imported a custom child theme previously I imported a .dat file in the Dynamik Settings tab before importing the child theme. This step is missing if I simply import as above (Dynamik Design / import/export of the child theme)

    Does this make sense?

    Thanks!

Dynamik, Extender & Essentials: Comparing Cobalt Apps Products

Use Cobalt Apps' Genesis Extender (or Genesis Essentials) to customize a StudioPress ChildTheme.

Dynamik-Gen is a ChildTheme for the Genesis Framework.

The Dat file was for a Dynamik "skin"? Skins are not ChildThemes. Dynamik skins are not replace-able by StudioPress ChildThemes.

Kellylise, Thank you so much, I had a feeling I wasn't doing it right!

It looks like it's easier to use Dynamik Website Builder than Genesis Extender?
That was why I was trying to get it to work that way around.

Not really sure which way to try now, since I was hoping to be able to avoid PHP/CSS coding which I do not know?

What I am attempting to do is make sitewide changes to fonts/colors and custom color menu's and various areas of the site.
I do not see any way to do this with any of the Studiopress child themes?

Any advice how I should proceed? I'm happy to learn but would like to use DWB if possible!

Have you seen Design Palette Pro (used with StudioPress childthemes)?

Thanks again. I'll have to learn some CSS, (no spare funds atm) it's been a few years since I read a big fat CSS book...Guess I'll need to knuckle down..

Do you happen to know how to style the menu's in a Studiopress child theme, or a reference I can refer to?

    Thanks 🙂
