    Hi,

I'm using the Streamline theme and would like to have the featured pages on a static home page. Currently they show up if I use the blog for the home page, but they don't show up once the home page is set to static. Can anyone help with this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Carolina

Can you drag the Genesis featured page widgets into the home page widget areas?

Would need to use the default reading settings as show latest posts.

Thanks for the response. Yes, the featured pages widget works fine when the reading settings are showing the latest posts. However, I don't want the latest posts on the home page, and when I change the reading settings to display a static home page, I lose the featured pages even though the Featured Page widgets are in the home page widget areas. Do you know if it's possible to show the featured pages using a static home page?

You could remove the loop from the homepage or use a custom loop or home page

Can you tell me what I need to do to remove the loop? I'm not sure which snippet to use or where it should go. Thanks for your time.

Paste this into your home.php file before the genesis(); tag.

I think what you need is a custom home.php.

Thanks, that worked! Now one last thing... is there a way to remove the primary sidebar from showing on the front page? I used the widget logic plugin so that the sidebar widgets wouldn't show up there, but now it's showing the default "This is the Primary Sidebar Widget Area" widget. Is there a line of code that I can use to remove the sidebar widgets from the home.php file?
