MemberI've been updating a few sites recently to 4.8.3, also updating Genesis Frameworks, no real issues. Tonight tho, when I updated this site, http://shertekinc.com/, all sorts of nonsense. Got most of it straightened out except for the home page now has a nice blue patch over the client's logo. There is nothing wrong on the other pages with the header, just the home page.
I can't think of any reason for just the home page header to be messed up, there's nothing in the css that I can see that affects just the home page logo. I don't know if this is a WP or Genesis issue, all I know is this is weird and I need help.

ModeratorThe blue is coming from this CSS at line 752 in style.css. It's the background-color.
h1 { background-color: #3057a5; color: #fff; font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.375; letter-spacing: 0.1em; margin: 12px 0 12 10px; padding: 10px 5px 0 10px; text-decoration: none; text-align: center; }

MemberOk, that helps, but I set up that styling for other pages, can't really change that. I did find that by eliminating the title and tag line under the customize page on the WP dashboard, I was able to get rid of the blue box over the logo, instead, there is now a blue line at the top of the header. But again, ONLY on the homepage. Is there someplace in the php or templates that treats the header on the home page differently than on the other pages?

ModeratorThe site header applies to the entire site. What you are seeing is probably the h1 padding. Even though you're not using text, the padding still applies.

MemberOk, I can live with the H1 headers being tight on the other pages if I have to clear this up on the home page. But it still doesn't make any sense that it was ONLY the home page that had this issue. Either all pages should have had the blue line or none, not just one. There has to be some logic to this, but I'm not seeing it.

ModeratorLooks like you fixed it. The home page is no longer showing the blue.
