    While I hear from alot of users that they are unable to produce line breaks in their posts, my problem is in the contrary. My posts show excessive white space around images. A little space would be fine, for breathing room. But the problem is the space isnt always as big.

    For every post I visit the html editor, I remove all the line breaks present there, and they are removed from the wysiwyg editor. But in the actual post they are more than present!

    for example:
    In the html editor I make sure that all the text is directly against the image tag, no line breaks or spaces present. I also make sure image tags are against other image tags if I want them to 'touch' each other in te post.
    <image><image><image>text<image>

    In the wysiwyg editor I see the images with a thin white line in between images. The line is always as thin.
    <image>
    linebreak
    <image>
    linebreak
    <image>
    linebreak
    Text
    <image>

    But in the actual post, the images sometimes have one, and sometimes have two line breaks in between them.
    <image>
    linebreak
    linebreak
    <image>
    linebreak
    <image>
    linebreak
    text
    <image>

    How can I get the power of choosing when and how much line breaks are used?

    (I've asked this on the WordPress Forums also, but they refuse to help me saying it's as Genesis problem)

    Hi - any chance you could link to a specific example?

    Are you writing your posts in the WordPress editor, or are you pasting the text in from another document (like a Microsoft Word document)? If the latter, MS Word can add a lot of extra HTML that doesn't show up in the visual editor. On one of these posts try selecting the "Text" tab at the top wright of the editor area (next to "Visual") and see if you see additional markup.

    Also might be worth noting, the posts are showing with different spacing depending on whether or not I use Google translate.

    Thanks a bunch for your reply.

    I'm writing the posts DIRECTLY in the WordPress WYSIWYG Editor.

    For example: http://acupoflife.nl/fashion/zomers-roze/
    The space between the second and the third picture is way too larger than the space between the third and the fourth picture.

    But as you noted earlier: the excessive white spacing does not appear when I visit the website through google translate. Thanks for noticing that!

    My WordPress installation was English, but I replaced it with a Dutch variant a couple of weeks ago. I use the plugin Genesis Translations for translating some parts of the website, and I use the plugin WP Native Dashboard to have my dashboard in English.

    So perhaps it has something to do with one of these plugins?

    I've tried disabling the Genesis Translations and the WP Native Dashboard plugins. Both at the same time and separately. Doesn't seem to change anything.

    EDIT: disabling ALL the plugins doesn't seem to change anything either.

    I'm bumping this. My issue still stands and I'm hoping someone has the solution.
