    I am running Genesis using a heavily modified Education Theme.  I have set Reading -> Post Per Page to 4.  I also have a custom function in the functions.php file which limits the post per page on the is_front_page() to 4 as follows:

    add_action('genesis_before_loop', 'dwz_child_before_loop');
    function dwz_child_before_loop () {
    global $query_string;
    if( is_front_page() ) {
    query_posts($query_string . "&cat=5&posts_per_page=4&paged=$paged");
    echo("<h4 class='widgettitle'>Recent News from St. Malachy</h4>");
    }
    }

    On my blog page, which I created using the standard "Blog" template feature of the theme, is located here:

    http://1955design.com/malachy/articles/

    As you can see, there are 5 posts per page displayed on this page.  What I cannot figure out is what is controlling displaying five posts on this page.  I've hunted and hunted and cannot figure it out.  In fact, I even tried to use a custom field on this page of query_args = posts_per_page=4 and that custom field argument has no effect, either.

    Any help appreciated!
