I get an error 'Site is experiencing technical difficulties' when I upload the code to the functions.php

I followed all the steps from these instructions https://my.studiopress.com/documentation/frequently-asked-questions/genesis-framework-faqs/update-to-gutenberg-optimized-version-of-child-theme/

(I have had to remove the functions code to get the site back)

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Altitude Pro was already optimized for Gutenberg, as the article you pointed to specifies. Whatever you did, you've probably got a syntax error in functions.php. You haven't provided enough information to know anything for sure though. Check you PHP error log and enable WordPress debug to find out the exact error.

@linzinz you are using Version 1.0.0 of Altitude Pro. The latest Version is 1.2.2 which has been updated to Gutenberg. Make sure you are running the most up-to-date version of Genesis and that you have increased your PHP to 7.2. That may resolve it for you. To see what PHP version you are using go to Tools > Site Health and check the Server settings.
