    Hello, I have spent hours trying to get my header image to display full width and be responsive. Originally, it was tiling and I've fixed that, but now it's just a small centered image. StudioPress support sent me to http://keypresswp.com/full-width-responsive-header-image-lifestyle-pro/ which seems to indicate that this is a common issue in the Lifestyle child theme, but when I go to Step 1 it tells me to delete the existing header image setup and I can't find the code they are referring to. I've done a search, but don't see anything like:

    //* Add support for custom header
    add_theme_support( 'custom-header', array(
    'width' => 270,
    'height' => 80,
    'header-selector' => '.site-title a',
    'header-text' => false
    ) );

    The instructions reference working inside the functions.php file, but I've been using the Edit CSS function in my WordPress dashboard. Will this accomplish the same thing?

    This seems like such a simple change, but I'm brand new to HTML and can't seem to get this right. I would greatly appreciate some help!!

    Hi,

    no, editing CSS (style.css) won't show you the information in functions.php or help you editing it.

    Please be aware that editing functions.php inside the WordPress dashboard can crash/white screen your website.
    You should know how to access the file through FTP or your cPanel File Manager to correct any mistakes.

    To edit functions.php go to Appearance - Editor and select Theme Functions (functions.php) on the right hand side.

    FYI, you are using the language PHP and not HTML for this.
