    Hi
    Genesis framework sixteennine child
    I'm working on http://costaricaguide.com/ and would like the background behind the text widget in the primary sidebar under the search to be transparent

    I have pallet pro installed but there are only background color choices - nothing for none

    Have poked around the css in editor but can't find it there either.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hi,

    I´m not familiar with Design Palette Pro.
    Try writing transparent in the field where you select the colors.
    Or can you change the color to rgba? Then you could just write rgba(0,0,0,1) (The 1 means it´s 100% transparent)

    Anyway, you can copy this into your style.css:

    body.gppro-custom .sidebar .widget {
    background-color: transparent !important;
    }

    Thanks. The select in palette pro doesn't allow the tricks you suggested but the !important worked. Thanks for that!

    I'm still wondering if there is a less hacky way of doing this since the demo theme shows the background transparent.

    Can you leave the field in design palette pro empty?
