Hi all, I just added Genesis last week and have been thrilled so far. I am working with multiple sites and have come across a conversion issue that I am stuck on. (I did search the forums, found one topic discussing this, but it did not answer my question.)

In Thesis, I used the "Post Image" to display a CC licenses Flickr image at the top of each post and on the homepage. You can see an example of how I use it at Narrow Bridge Finance, a future Genesis site that has not yet been converted. Note, the post image let me link to an outside side (Flickr) for the image, it is not hosted within my WordPress installation (though I am not opposed to hosting them myself, that was just the best apparent option at the time and I never changed my strategy.)

I want to use those same images in my new Genesis installations (first site setup was The Israel Situation).

Is there a plugin/script/tool I can use to convert those post images to featured images in Genesis? I have 2,757 posts to update on those two sites, in addition to other sites I run which used the same method, so an automated approach is really the only option.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

this plugin might help: http://thesistut.com/store/wordpress-featured-image-thesis/ - i guess you'd need to convert all the images first in thesis and then change to genesis. am looking to do this myself. am now walking away from thesis and have recently adopted genesis...

I created a new plugin just for this purpose. If anyone is interested, you can find it here: http://codecanyon.net/item/thesis-post-image-converter/4580194
