    I'm getting a "theme broken" error that I cannot seem to figure out how to fix. Here's the error:

    ERROR: Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.

    I FTP'd and see an index.php file in the Genesis Theme. I don't know what to make of the style.css stylesheet comment. Any ideas?

    You site is displaying fine. You do have a jQuery error, and your child theme style.css is not loading in a normal way. The reference to the template header means this:

    /*
    	Theme Name: Altitude Pro
    	Theme URI: http://my.studiopress.com/themes/altitude/
    	Description: Make a stunning first impression, grab attention, and dynamically tell your story with beautiful images and clean typography.

    	Template: genesis
    	Template Version: 2.1

    	License: GPL-2.0+
    	License URI: http://www.opensource.org/licenses/gpl-license.php

    	Text Domain: altitude-pro
    */

    It exists in your style.css. I think the error is a symptom of problems caused by something else on your site. You have a plugin or something that appears to have bypassed the normal WordPress way for loading styles. The only reference I can see in your source code to the child theme style.css is in jQuery code.
