I am currently running the Corporate theme on a website I made, but I need to update this as it is not mobile-friendly.

I downloaded the Theme Test Drive plugin to test what a new theme would look like and was testing with Enterprise Pro. But the plugin does not allow me to see and test every aspect.

Could you let me know if there is a better/easier way of trying out a new theme on my site without making it live, please. Thank you in advance.

    Hi there,

I think the safest and cleanest way is to make a copy of your site in a test environment....does your host support staging? That is what they would call it. Otherwise there are tools that can let you run your site locally for testing......I can give you more particulars if that sounds of interest to you.

As Ginger mentioned, there are lots of ways to do this. You might want to try DesktopServer, which has a paid version and a free version...it lets you set up a server on your own computer, and you can install WordPress and then do anything you want (including trying out themes and plugins, just as if you were online...but you will be safe and secure running right there on your own computer. it's easy to set up.
