Hallo everybody,
We are running a couple of websites and use for all websites wordpress.
Our two websites are in norwegian:
kredittkort-listen.no and forbrukslån-listen.no (http://xn--forbruksln-listen-hrb.no).We are struggling to find a good table for presentation of credit cards and loans that are responsive. What we have today is functioning but not great.
Does anyone have a tip about where we could get a good table this. The table must be a vertical table, meaning products should be listed on top of each other.

These forums are community-based support for StudioPress themes on the Genesis Framework.
With Genesis I would probably use the built-in Genesis Content Column Classes - responsiveness is built-in. Use one row and four columns per card. No custom coding or plugin is required, but you can easily tweak the style and behaviour if desired.
For responsive tables you might try TablePress with their responsive plugin or tables with custom CSS for responsiveness.

We have been searching and searching for themes and tables for a long while.
The theme we use now is not that brilliant and the tables we have done manually.
We have also looked at TablePress, but I am sceptical that it would work for us. Maybe I should dig in the dirt and try out tablepress to see if it is working well.Maybe one of the Studio Press themes could work for us?
We need a theme that have some productification functions but not like a webshop. But it would be brilliant if the products (creditcard and loans) could easily be shown on other product pages and be classified like for example gas creditcards, travel creditcards etc.I am not really a pro on building websites.
Regards,
Peter

This will allow you to see how tablepress works with the responsive add-on.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?January 9, 2016 at 8:33 pm #176097TomParticipantI played around with TablePress and did find it a bit restrictive/inflexible to mimic your page. I think (Genesis) columns are easier to manipulate. Have a peek at a quick hack I did on this demo page with just a few CSS statements.
?? "productification functions but not like a webshop" Can you describe 'productification'?
To classify the different cards and/or brands you could:
- define a custom post type "bankcards"
- make custom post categories to represent each type and brand for "bankcards": visa / mastercard / amex, etc. and Santander / Bank No. / etc. You could use similar for your rating system, rebate plans, special offers, gas-cards, flight-cards, points-cards, etc.
- use post archives and/or custom templates to make listings available by category
- With each card being a separate post instead of a line in a table, info from the card(s) can be placed almost anywhere.
If you were to follow something like this there would be some work involved in migrating the data locked up in your Visual Composer pages and tables to custom posts, categories and template boilerplate. Some data might remain in tables where appropriate. Most important would be to develop a clear data architecture and site layout plan. If you want to pursue this kind of idea you can contact me here.
"I am not really a pro on building websites." - you've come to the right place 🙂
