"Swap" Primary Sidebar for a Simple Sidebar on Custom Post

I'm using the Community child theme and the Views/Types plugins. Types does not allow the selection of a sidebar or layout, and I do not want to use the primary sidebar on my custom post type. I would like to "swap" the primary sidebar for another sidebar I've created with Simple Sidebars. I have managed to remove the primary sidebar by placing this in 'single-product.php' that I created in the child theme directory:

unregister_sidebar( 'sidebar' );

I cannot seem to add the 'products-sidebar' in its place. I'm working on a local installation of the site, so I cannot provide a URL...
