    Hi Community

    Reading the documentation it appears my theme - Studio Pro is not pre-configured to use Woocommerce.

    I think I therefore need Genesis Connect for WooCommerce.

    Do I need to take any other special steps?

    Pre-configured for WooCommerce does not mean that you wouldn't use Genesis Connect. You would still need it. The preconfigured part means that style sheets and php code have been included to help WooCommerce match the theme's styles and provide some setup customizations.

    Your theme, Studio Pro, is not a Studio Press product. It is a 3rd party community marketplace theme. Community marketplace theme developers support their themes directly. As the creators, they will be most familiar with the theme and be able to provide you with the best support. For further assistance please contact the Seo Themes support team.

    Articulate answer Mr. Font --almost-- do tell, why do we even need Genesis Connect when using WooCommerce and what does it really do to the code internally?

    As a generic product, WooCommerce does not communicate with any specific theme framework. If you install WooCommerce without Genesis Connect, it may still work, but you'll lose the benefits that the Genesis Framework provides. It will ignore Genesis.

    The Genesis connect plugin includes custom WooCommerce templates and loops that have been Genesis-ized. It's a convenience that saves a lot of time and effort in making the products work together harmoniously.

    I see. Thank you. I haven't yet found a lot of "how to code" using Genesis Connect help. I suppose I should install it and try to read the tea leaves.
