I'm trying to change the home page to use a static page, but I can't get it to work like I expect it to. If I use the Sample theme, choose static page, and tell it which page, it changes to that page (expected behavior). With the Metro theme, that doesn't happen. It will change to the layout of the page I define (e.g., full width, sidebar content sidebar, etc.), but it doesn't show the page, nor the content on that page.

What am I doing wrong? I tried disabling all plugins, but that didn't help.

Are you saving your changes? I just added a static home page to the Metro Pro theme on my test site, and it worked like any other theme:

Yes, I've saved. When I try a test site with the Sample theme, it works ... changes before my eyes and everything. If I switch the theme to Metro Pro and it no longer works. This is on local hosting, so I tried it on a live host and it still doesn't. Here's a screen shot ... not sure it helps, but you can see it's saved but it's still showing the posts and widgets of the home page.

I recommend putting in a support ticket to "official" help - they may be able to assist you.
