Recently I moved my blog to Synthesis hosting and had support install the SSL Insecure Content Fixer plugin to cope with insecure content.
All looked great, but after a while I got complaints from visitors about the menu: on Chrome and IE the main page menu seems to ignoe any CSS, if you visit any page but the homepage it looks fine.
Also, when you take out the 's' from https:// in the browser the site looks fine.At the time I was using WordPress 2014 theme, so today I decided enough is enough, I get myself a premium theme to be done with these issues, so I went for Genesis.
To my surprise, the issue with the SSL and the broken menu is still there, and I have no idea how to fix it. Changing settings on the mentioned plugin does not help.
I have searched here and found some issues with SSL and the Genesis framework, but not the issues I am having: all looks fine on Firefox, all looks fine on http on Chome and IE but httpS on Chrome and IE breaks the main page and only the main page, especially the menu.
I hope to find some guidance to solve this issue. Thanks in advance for any help.

Right now quite a few plugin files are trying to load with http and that is causing the theme to break.

I have asked Synthesis a couple of weeks ago to help me fix this, but they told to me ask my developer for help and advised me to install that plugin, which fixed the issue for Firefox but not for other browsers.
Now I switched to Genesis I was confident that my issues would be resolved, but they were not unfortunately.
I again asked Synthesis support now for help with this and to implement a 301 redirect to fix these issues for me, let's hope this time things will be ok.
Thanks again for your help, I will report back when it is fixed and what the fix was.

If you plan to load the whole site over SSL, you have to have a redirect in place for everything to load properly. You'll also want to make sure both your home and site URLs are using https in Settings > General.

Synthesis support urges me to take a look at the plugins however because they are calling http. I got the following resource suggestion from them:

Thanks again for your great suggestion and helping me solve this issue Andrea!
