    Hi,

    I was just creating a new page and in need of using the special characters of: ♥ ♣ ♦ ♠. I noticed that they won't show up ( a question mark replaces them)
    I'm using the Parallax pro theme

    Is there a css setting or php function that needs to be changed to allow this?

    Thank you!
    Ash

    Try using these in the text mode editor (HTML) where you want them, use the entire line for each suite including the ampersand and semi-colon.

    Thank you for replying Neil. Sadly, that did't work either. The odd thing is, I have the characters used in other areas of the site and they're OK.

    Do I need to remove the 'utf8' from the line below in my wp-config.php file?

    Database Charset to use in creating database tables. */
    define('DB_CHARSET', 'utf8');

    I would try and see if a plugin is causing the issue, so if you can see the HTML entity in the code in the dashboard but not the front end - can you see if you disable all plugins?

    Have you taken a look at this? http://codex.wordpress.org/Fun_Character_Entities

    Also it may be the font not being able to create the character?
