    I am using the Genesis Sample Theme

    How can I get my "white" text/copy area at the bottom of short pages to go all the way down to meet the footer? For instance on this page , the copy is shorter than the length of the sidebar.

    And on this page, , the copy is longer than the sidebar.

    I would like the length of the sidebar and the copy area on the left to be even on all pages, going straight down to the footer widget area.

    Thanks in advance.

    Your left side is CONTENT and the Right is the SIDEBAR. They usually are not always equal. There are plugins out there to make the sidebar "sticky" and it will slide with your content once you get past the end of your side bar content.

    What I would do is color the footer of your theme. That way it is always at the bottom of your content. Usually your foot "grows" with the content you put in your theme. So I hope this helps a little with your question.

    I should add that once you start adding content your footor moves down . The footer of your theme you are using is where it says copyright 2014......... . So it would take some CSS to make that a different color.

    example is

    .site-footer
    background-color: #00923d;

    Study up on css and watch some youtube videos on using firebug in firefox to find the different parts of a theme and how to add css. I learned by installing a server (wamp) on my local pc and making changes that way.
