(Solved) Customize Hooks in Page Templates

I want to create a very simple custom template which is 99% the same
> as the landing page of my actual theme...

Solution:

You are going to need to make your code in Simple Hooks
conditional.
Here is a tutorial with some details on how to do that.

You will be using the ! is_page() or ! is_page_template( 'template-file-name.php' )
boolean function in your conditional code.
