    Not able to remove transparent grey caption background using:

    .soliloquy-caption-inside { background: transparent !important; filter: none !important; -ms-filter: none !important; } (preceded by my custom class)

    I'm using the free version of Soliloquy.

    Ideas, advice appreciated.

    Which background are you trying to remove?

    The one at the bottom that says Caption 1, Caption 2, Caption 3, Caption 4???

    Yes, it't the transparent black background behind the white captions at the bottom.

    solution:

    .cap.soliloquy-container .soliloquy-caption {
    position: absolute;
    bottom: 0;
    left: 0;
    width: 100%;
    z-index: 1120;
    /* background: rgba(0,0,0,.5); */
    background: rgba(0,0,0,0);
    }
