sliding image on minumum theme

Is there anyway that the sample image on the minimum theme can be replaced with a rotating image and if so, how is it done?

There's probably a simpler way, but I did it by creating a widgeted area for that space on the home page in the php code. My PHP chops are pretty weak. There's most likely someone here who could give you a good show you the best way to code that.

Anyway, then you can put whatever I want to in that space. Makes it easier for clients to make changes to that area. Even if they want to use a static image they can add it with a text widget rather than having to edit the PHP code.

For a slideshow I use Genesis Responsive Slider in that widgeted area.

Could you possibly input show me how you did that, what the code is and where to insert it?  No worries if its too time consuming. Also can I have a look at the website that you did it on? I am curious to see how it looks.

Then you can study the PHP pages and css, and see the work I did (remember, I'm really not a PHP guy at all - just hunting and pecking until I come up with something I like. I bet there's a cleaner way to code these changes.)
