    I have the executive theme with the Genesis responsive slider. How do I change the color of the slider excerpt?  Right now it's gray and I want it go to be black #000000.

    I tried going in to the theme css and change it but it stayed as gray.

    Try going into your slider's stylesheet to make the change.

    I went into the responsive slider style sheet here and change the background-color to what I wanted but it still shows up as gray.

    Any ideas?

    .slide-excerpt {
    background-color: #F50002;
    filter: alpha(opacity=80);
    display: block;
    margin: 10px;
    opacity: 0.8;
    padding: 0;
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 8;
