    Hello,
I have purchased the eleven40 pro theme.
This child theme has no single.php, sidebar.php and so on.

But I have to modify 1 or 2 things in the single.php and dont want to modify the single.php in the genesis-theme-folder.

Can I create a single.php in the eleven40 theme-folder? Or should I copy the single.php from the genesis folder to the eleven40 folder?

    best regards,
    Peer

    Yes. Use this http://wpsites.net/web-design/basic-single-post-template-file-for-genesis-beginners/

What do you need to change?

You can do it with a custom function and is_single conditional tag

    So helpful - thanks!

Here's an example of custom function and is_single conditional tag (that I wouldn't have known to search for ...)
