    Hi,
I have followed the exact directions in the set-up file for the centric pro theme. In the home 5 section the Simple Social Icons is there with specifics on how to set it up. I copied this directly into my site, yet on the demo for Centric Pro they are pretty white circle shaped icons, and on my site they are small grey squares…
What gives? How do I get the pretty circles as seen on the demo page of Centric Pro?

Please share a link to your site so we can see exactly what's happening. For instructions on Centric Pro, log in to your account on my.studiopress.com and there is a button for set up instructions on the theme.

The site is password protected right now so can't share link, its in dev.
I followed the instructions on Centric Pro exactly but my social icons don't look like the demo. That is my problem. In the demo, they are circles and white, and even though I followed the instructions identically, my icons are small grey squares.

Krista, If you go to the widget area and click the Simple Social Icons wIdget, it will expand and give you the options to change size, colors, and border radius of your icons.

That is the first place I looked to make the change, but it does not appear to accept any changes (cleared cache etc). Won't change colors here either. Thoughts?

I would take a look at the Centric Pro setup instructions. There is screenshot there that shows the exact settings that the demo site uses. (Thats what worked for me) If those are the settings that you have, then I would uninstall the plugin and re-install it.

I didn't do a re-install but did pull it from the widgets and reapplied. It allowed me to make changes this time.

However, I have the plugin in two areas -footer and sidebar and if you have it in only one it will keep your settings but if you put it in two widget areas it will mock the settings of the most recent one you put in. Interesting. In other words it won't allow me to change the size in one area to be different than another widget area and this time I reinstalled the plugin.

Not a game changer and I am not going to spend a bunch of time on it, but it at least allowed me to change the radius to round the icons. Thanks for that suggestion.
