    Hi - I wanted to add a sidebar to the left hand side of a group of designated pages.  My standard layout has a primary sidebar on the right hand side of the page, but I want to create a group of pages with a unique sidebar left.  I am looking to have the sidebar left list the a group of links down the side of the page - kind of like a blog roll where I can list certain pages on my site to link to.  can you please help me understand how to do this.  I looked at the simple sidebar page, but it didn't really make sense to me.

    I am assuming I would need simple sidebar and some special widget, but I don't know for sure

    You can use the Genesis Simple Sidebars - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/genesis-simple-sidebars/. Then create custom menus with the list of pages you want for each simple sidebar. Use the Custom Menu widget - drag it to the sidebar for the page you are working on. That should be it.

    Forgive me, but can you please add a little more detail.

    How do I get the sidebar on the left to be different from the standard sidebar widgets I have on all of the other posts?

    Any more detail would be appreciated.  I have installed simple sidebars, but the documentation around setting it up appears to be limited, unless I am missing it.

    I really appreciate the help!

    You create new sidebars by going to the menu Genesis > Genesis Setting and selecting Genesis Simple Sidebars. Create a new side bar for each page. Then, go to one of the Pages/Posts and select that Sidebar for that page under Secondary sidebar and save it.
