    I'm looking for an attractive way to hide all comments on a post, with a button or link that says "Show Comments", optionally with a number to indicate how many comments are hidden. What is the best way to implement this with Genesis?

    You should be able to do that with jQuery. Or you can try this plugin

    I solved this using this very helpful tutorial:
    http://coreyjmahler.com/topics/create-a-button-to-showhide-wordpress-comments-with-a-click/

    Note that for Genesis themes you should change:

    // Get #comment-section div
    	var commentsDiv = jQuery('#comment-section');

    to

    var commentsDiv = jQuery('#comments');
