    Hi,
I'm working on a site using the Agency theme. I would like to have page titles show on my two post category excerpt pages "Press" and "Shows/Extras" (which are drop downs under "About" on the nav menu). Many thanks in advance!

If you go to Posts > Categories and choose Edit for both of the categories, you'll see a heading called Category Archive Settings. You can set a title and description there that will display on the category pages, though they may need some CSS rules to make them look the way you want them to. Hope that helps!

I hadn't noticed that setting before. Handy!

The category titles show if I do category searches, but unfortunately don't show on the pages that I've made of those categories ("Press" and "Shows/Extras". Any ideas for showing the actual page titles?

    THANKS!

I'm a little confused about why you created category pages when WordPress creates category pages automatically where the titles will show up.

For example, your menu links to the page http://newhousewebdesign.com/user45/press/

But the category archive created by WordPress is at http://newhousewebdesign.com/user45/category/press/ and shows the title.

So in Appearance > Menus, you can select Categories on the left and link directly to the category page instead of making your own archive pages. Does that make sense, or am I missing something?

Wonderful! You figured it out! I had read how to add the custom field on a category page I created myself and mistakenly thought that would work.

    Many thanks!!!!!!!
