    So I've used several different plugins to display post/page ids in the past, but I'm wondering if there's a quick and easy bit of code that could be dropped in the functions file to do the same thing. Has anyone ever done this before?

    Have you tried this?

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/the_ID

    Personally, I always just hover over the "edit" button on a page/post to find the ID.
