    I am attempting to include a Category Specific Icon/Image next to each post title on my home page's blog feed. So I would have the Post Title, and then an image that identifies the category. And below that the standard Entry Meta.

    I am working off of the Genesis Sample Theme.

    I have managed to add a specific image to a category via the Archive Intro Text, and it shows perfectly at the top of the Category Archive page, but I'd like that same Icon to display after each post title (from that category) in the home page blog feed.

    You can see the category page's Intro Text below.

    Is there an easy way to do this?

    If I'm understanding correctly, you want to basically associate an image/icon with a category and have this image output inline with the title and in the category archive? I'm assuming you're using an tag in the Intro Text field for the category?

    Doing this will require a bit of custom code. You first need to create a custom input to save an image for each category to the database and then you have to filter the titles to include the image.

    Yes, That's exactly what I need to do... just a bit lost on how to go about it. Any help or direction you could point me in would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm definitely in the beginning stages of learning genesis hooks and filters.

    I wrote up some instructions on one way to do it. It uses the Advanced Custom Fields plugin, which you can download for free from the WordPress.org plugin repository.
