Shallower widget text areas in Parallax Pro Theme

Ho do I get the widget text areas on the home page to be shallower? I have played with various padding depths but that makes the text area climb up the page and over the photos. I would like the text areas to be much less in height. Not narrower in width. If you look at the beta site, you will see what I mean. See how big the text background is in comparison to the actual amount of text in the box.

You can reduce the space above and below the text by reducing the padding. Look for this in your CSS and change the top and bottom padding from 500px to a smaller amount.

.home-even,
.home-odd {
    clear: both;
    font-size: 28px;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 500px 0 500px;
    text-align: center;
}

This will change the padding for all home widget areas. If you want to change it only for specific widget areas, you'll want to add something like this to your CSS instead:

.home-section-2 {
    padding: 100px 0 100px;
}

The second method worked best. Made my text area nice and narrow.
Second question. Now how do I make the 2 other background images show their full self? As the first text widget moves up, it covers the second image and the black background shows up before the second text widget has a chance to fully move up. Almost as if the "timing" is off. Maybe the text widgets need to slow down a bit. Is that even possible? See what I am talking about here http://www.infinityhomesnw.com/beta

What I'd like to see is the text widget over the middle of the background photos.
