setting up Altitude Pro

So I just downloaded Altitude Pro. I see there is a way to Import Settings into Genesis. Why not just offer the JSON file to import all the settings instead of making someone go through all the setup steps?

Maybe I'm blind and missing something, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The import of Genesis settings are limited to what you see on the Genesis/Settings page in the admin area. The settings are very personal to people. Everyone sets up their settings differently. It makes no sense to force people to set things up one way. This also has nothing to do with setting up the theme with your personal content. There is an XML file of sample content that comes with your theme, but it's just sample content, no images and no widgets. The images you see on the demo sites are not licensed for resale. The process of setting up a theme is simple if you follow the setup instructions on the download page and don't require a lot of customizations.

I agree Jonathan. It would be helpful to bring all widgets and menu placements in. Particularly when so many people are trying to make the their site look like the theme demo with their own content and image.
