Using Academy Pro child theme - I would like to have a search bar at the top of my pages. I have the widget in the footer but I fear folks won't see it there so am looking for something different.

Found Genesis Nav extras and added that code. Now the text inside says "Search 1" which I suspect is automatically generated.

1)How do I change that text?
    2) what is the class/id so that I can style it?

    3) AND/OR is there a better way to get a search ability at the top of the site?

To get into the site the pass is: shadow

    Thanks for help.

I found this article for similar expectations. it worked on Academy Pro. But you may need to modify search button style.

How to add a search form in nav menu in Genesis

    thanks
