Rounded Menu Buttons instead of Boxes

How do you add the rounded edges to the main navigation instead of having block? The theme currently has blocked menu, but when you hover they go rounded. I want them rounded when you don't hover and when you do! This is my current menu code:

Thanks Johann! I had a background on the first portion of the first portion, but not the second! Adding to the second line fixed the issue. Thanks so much! For others running into this issue, here is what it ended up looking like:
