    Hi there, I added in the code to make 5 columns in the "features" area widget of the Centric Pro theme.

    However, when viewing from a smaller screen (phone) it looks REALLY awful. Can you point me in the direction to fix this? Any help would be SO appreciated.

    It's going to require some testing and use of a mobile browser to reconfigure that and also for flipping (going from 320 portrait to 480 landscape). You would need to probably add one-fifth to your media queries and adjust the percentage so that maybe it would show two columns on the smaller devices. You can use Firefox which has a mobile browser - just hit Ctrl+Shift+M and it will display in a mobile way, then use Firebug to reconfigure that part.
