    Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased the Beautiful Pro theme from StudioPress for a blog I would like to start. I am now just trying to make some minor customizations to the theme but I know little about computers and practically nothing about blogging/word press or code or even forums for that matter...nevertheless I am really excited to learn... 🙂 For example, I am not sure whether I should be starting a new thread or if the info I am looking for could be found by searching the forum. I tried doing a search but couldn't find what I was looking for...potentially a matter of searching the wrong area or using the wrong language.

In either case, I am trying to center my primary navigation menu above my logo/wordmark that I uploaded into the background/banner area. Currently the menu is positioned to the left... At one point (regarding a different matter) I was in touch with the kind folks at StudioPress and they warned me about making too many (or complicated) changes to the code in my WordPress editor since this could ultimately lead to more serious trouble...they suggested using FTP (not sure what that is) or my hosts file manager for editing PHP files. Perhaps my query involves only CSS editing and I could do that easily enough in the WordPress editor...? That's what I did when I had to change the height of my background/banner.

Anyways, sorry for the book and thanks so much for your patience and any and all direction. Essentially I am just trying to center my primary navigation menu on the Beautiful Pro theme.

    Hi Kai,

I can't help you with your question, just wanted to comment on your site.

The domain name "WagingRespect" and the tagline "Extraordinary Minds, Extraordinary People" are both intriguing.

I'm looking forward to the content!

Good luck and hang in there with the learning curve. The jargon becomes familiar quicker than you might imagine. 🙂
