I'm working on a new site using Modern Studio Pro. Using the Theme Settings customizer for "Singular Content", I deleted the author shortcode but the theme is not updating. No matter what I change in the "entry meta" section, it ignores my new settings. (I have tried save/publish, clearing cookies, doing it again...)
I would really like to avoid editing the theme or creating a child theme just for this. Is there a way to make it stop ignoring this setting? What am I missing?

There's code in functions.php line 136 which modifies it.
