    Good morning,

Can you help me remove or change the welcome widget on the homepage? It currently says "Hello World". Thank you.

It sounds like you're displaying the default WordPress sample post. Genesis home pages display posts until you add a widget.

Thank you, Victor! You're right. It was a post. But I don't want my post to show up right in the middle on my homepage like that since it'll be on the sidebar. Any idea how to remove the display? Thanks.

That's just default post by wordpress right? Maybe you can share your site here?

    Hi Bridgeid,

Yes it is. My site is under construction at the moment. I was able to remove the Hello World since it was just a default post as Victor mentioned. However there's an empty space there now which takes up more space than necessary. That same space is reserved for landing pages as well which I would like to be able to edit or remove entirely. Do you know how to do this?

If this doesn't make any sense I did submit this question to Geodirectory. They have the option to attach a photo so it's easier for me to take snapshots.

    Thank you.

As soon as you add content in a widget. The post space will go away.

    Hi Victor,

Yes. Thank you. I'm just trying to remove the widget but it will probably require a little coding on the back end. If I post a blog it will fill in that widget area. If I don't post a blog that widget area is blank. Thanks.
