    Hello everyone! I just started using the Genesis Featured Posts widget. For some reason it lists my only sticky post at the top of the list. I have the widget set to "all categories" for 6 posts and to list them by date. The widget does this but adds the sticky post (which has a much older date) to the top of the list for a total of 7 posts listed.

    I looked for a way to exclude a post from the widget but it doesn't have that option. The "Recent Posts" widget does not add the sticky, but the "Featured Posts" widget does.

    Thanks in advance for the help!

    Just a bump. Also, my sticky post is on the homepage so I don't want to make it unsticky to solve the problem.

    just worked out a solution you might find useful http://wpsites.net/best-plugins/custom-genesis-featured-posts-widget-you-can-modify-safely/

    You can modify the WP_Query in the code to exclude sticky posts

    Thanks Brad but I found a more simple solution that has solved my problem. I just styled the CSS accordingly:

    .sidebar .featured-content .sticky {
    display: none !important;
    }

    I received the answer from the comments section in a post here by Marcy Diaz. Coincidently it's the same post that I learned how to style this widget for a nicer look to begin with.

    I will mark this as resolved.

    Thanks again!
