    The text shadow is coming from the #header rule. I recommend installing the Firebug add on for Firefox or using Chrome's Firebug Lite which will enable you to right click on any element to inspect it and determine the associated style rules or the selectors required to create new style rules.

    Using Firebug I located the code and changed the color but not remove the shadow

    What do I edit to remove the shadow

    #header .menu li a {
    color: #004E8C;
    display: block;
    font-size: 14px;
    padding: 6px 15px 4px;
    position: relative;
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    Hi Herman,

    Look for this and remove the text shadow:

    #header {
    margin: 0 auto;
    min-height: 115px;
    overflow: hidden;
    text-shadow: 1px 1px #000;
    width: 100%;
    }

    Hope this helps!
