    I'm working on a Multisite installaton. I want to make "Footer 1" completely static across all sites and built into the functions.php (not widgetized).

    remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'genesis_do_footer' );

    Once I use the above, I then want to add back the default functionality and keep "Footer 2" "Footer 3" default widget areas but then customize the "Footer 1" widget area with my own static menu hard-coded into the theme.

    Do any of you have a Gist or snippet I can borrow from to accomplish this task?
