    How can I remove the date and what I call the "date bar" across the top of my website: http://www.PsychSearch.net ?

    You have a very old theme. The date was added in the old versions of Genesis as a navigation extra. There are two possible places where the menu extra was added. It's either on the Genesis Settings page as a navigation extra or in your child theme's functions.php file. It's not possible to know which from looking at the front end.

    Fantastic! Thanks Victor! That worked in Settings. Now, one last question. On all pages, it is okay except the home page. The home page has a "bar" under where the date "bar" was. Since all other pages have no "bar", I'm hoping the Home page can be fixed easily too? website: http://www.psychsearch.net/

    The bar is coming from this CSS at line 634 in style.css:

    #featured .wrap {
        padding: 25px;
    }

    Adjust the padding to your liking.

    Man Victor, you're good! Will that only affect the homepage? Would you like to be my website design expert? E-mail me [email protected]

    Okay Victor, I tried that:
    I changed the 25 to 5 and nothing happened and then I changed it to 100 and nothing happened. I'm just trying to get rid of the "bar" beneath the category headings at the top here: http://www.psychsearch.net (that was the first time I tried to mess with CSS so this is an advance!) Also you said I have an old theme. Maybe you can recommend something that is new but keeps the same look?

    this is the 25 I changed:

    }

    #featured .wrap {
    padding: 25px;
    }

    Normally, I would suggest you sign up for one of my maintenance plans if you wanted help, but I don't want to support any of the old XHTML themes. I suggest you look through the new HTML5 Studio Press theme offerings and select one that approximates what you want, and it can be tweaked from there.

    As for the padding, that is the padding that needs to be changed. Browser's don't always pick up changes because the cache style sheets. You have to make sure all caches are cleared and you can hold down the shift key when you refresh the site to force the browser to reload the style sheet. I think you should also learn how to use your browser's inspect tool so you can see the effects of CSS changes before making them permanent. https://victorfont.com/how-to-use-your-browsers-inspect-tool/

    Victor, what new HTML5 Studio Press theme offerings do you recommend? Where can I find them? Why are they better than my website: http://www.psychsearch.net
