Victor, if you go to my travel page you will see what I'm talking about.
Are you referring to the permalink in the address bar? This is different to breadcrumbs which i can't see on this page.
No, I'm referring to the breadcrumbs indeed. It's in the green bar below the header menu area. Are you not able to see it? It shown on the Travel, Food and Resources pages. On these pages it goes like: Home > Homepage > Travel. Home and Homepage are redundant.
This looks like its occuring when you use a blocks page template but not when using the default template.
Brad, I'm not sure I understand your comment. I have pages that were started by using the pre-designed templates that are part of the child theme. (Travel, Food, Resources) But I also have pages that I created from scratch using the Genesis blocks. (i.e. Sri Lanka page) All of these pages show the redundant breadcrumb information. So I am wondering if there is a way around that. If not, I may just be better off disabling the breadcrumbs.
You need to use the default templates or use code to remove the the slug from the breadcrumbs.
It's hard to test without setting up the same situation on a test site but those are my 2 suggestions unless anyone else has a better solution.
Thanks! I'm a newbie at this so I have no clue about writing code. That's a bit over my head.
Another option is to try the Genesis Breadcrumbs plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-simple-breadcrumbs/
