How did you get your header to be so large in the theme. I changed my settings to 1140 x 200 and my image. When I upload the image it doesn't ask me to crop it but it stretches it out of the size given. You can see my blog at
    http://www.mothernaturesessentialoils.com

I've spent a lot of time playing with it. If I shrink the header image even smaller it does the same thing.

I've seen other headers like yours where the header is even larger than the one I'm trying to create.

Thank you in advance for your help!!

Thanks for the link Brad - it's been a huge help to me!
I am now using 2 versions of my header image to cater for different devices - looking good 🙂

    thanks,
    Tracey
